Day 46 – Dueling Forces

Chemistry 1 – A quiz was given that assessed on these two Energy and States of Matter Goals:
ESM1.1(C) – I can use particle models to explain macroscopic observations of solids, liquids, gases, as well as the behavior of particles when temperature is altered.
ESM1.2(C) – I can model, using particle diagrams and words, the differences between solids, liquids, and gases in terms of energy, motion, arrangements, and attractions.

Physics 1 – Groups were given one of the above situations.  They were to whiteboard an interaction diagram for the situation, and draw two force diagrams.  One for object A, one for object B.  At this point we’re more interested in labeling the interactions correctly and having each force going in the correct direction.  The size of the forces will come soon.

Chemistry 2 – Groups worked on solving neutralization reaction problems.
