Day 45 – Temperature vs. Heat

Chemistry 1 – I started with two beakers each containing 300 mL of cool tap water.  To beaker 1 I added 200 mL of 50 C water to it.  In beaker 2 I added 50 mL of 95 C water.  Although the additional water in beaker 2 had a high temperature (faster moving particles) beaker 1 ended with a greater temperature.  We used this to introduce temperature vs. heat.

Physics 1 – I stent the last day and a half introducing Interaction Diagrams and Force Diagrams using a hover disk.  I basically followed Kelly O’Shea’s description.

Chemistry 2 – Acid/Base Quiz.  Began work on writing and solving neutralization reactions involving acids and bases.
