Chemistry 1 – Groups worked on creating a safety poster depicting various rules.  The rules are written in  your own words and based off of the video we watched yesterday.

Physics 1 – Lab groups began investigating pendulums.  As a class we decided the easiest variables to test are: Length of string, Weight/Mass of object, Distance/Angle of starting pull.  Each group is responsible for one of these independent variables and are studying how their changes affect the time of a swing (Period).

Chemistry 2 – Lab groups began running trials of the Molar Volume Lab.  We are reacting Magnesium ribbon with hydorchloric acid to generate hydrogen gas.  By generating the gas in a closed flask we can measure pressure changes and temperature.  This procedure will help us to determine how much volume one mole of gas will occupy at STP.
